This backyard located in the old southwest neighborhood of Reno was outdated and user un-friendly. An old pond and messy cherry tree were located right in the middle of the yard, breaking up any usable space. Removing the tree and the pond allowed for a generous outdoor kitchen and dining area, a separate lounge area with fire pit, a kid-friendly water feature, synthetic turf putting green and fun outdoor chalkboard. The design has clean lines and connects multiple spaces for eating, relaxing and playing. The simple, mass plantings help the yard appear larger while offering flower and foliage color and interesting textures.
